Vacation Education Books was founded four years ago when inspiration struck between Don and Corinne Johnson.  After having visited museums and theme parks on vacation we discovered one recurring problem.  These places were full of opportunities to teach our children, but we did not always know what was being presented.  We realized that there should be a way to familiarize ourselves with the presentations that we would encounter before we went.  After a little research we figured that we should write those books ourselves, so we did!!  Thus was born Vacation Education Books.  A series of books and seminars based on your favorite vacation destinations.  We hope that your family will be enriched by doing these unit studies, and the next time you are in a park or museum you will be able to say "remember when we learned about this...."

We then found that the stories we discovered through our research was more than just for homeschoolers; more than just for vacationers; God was revealing Himself in so many ways, that we had to share our experiences with more than just our readers.
Soon, we began to see the talents of our children bloom through the retelling of these amazing stories, and before long we were traveling the country to share our books, our stories and our gifts and talents with anyone who was willing to listen.
